Eastlake Wins 4A Championship

The 4A state championship game between (8) Eastlake and (3) Lewis and Clark proved to be a great battle, just as expected! Nothing is better than a hard fought back and forth game with big players making big plays all throughout the game. This game had a mixture of size, outside shooting and athletic wings. Below are some of the top performers from the title game!

Top performers:

2019 6’0 SF Jacinta Buckley (Lewis and Clark HS) – The UNLV signee did not have her absolute best scoring game, but she still did a lot of little things on the floor to keep her team in the game. Her vocal leadership is as good as anyone’s and she played solid defense all game. Jacinta had 8 points and 18 rebounds for her squad.

2019 6’0 SF Mae Bryant (Eastlake HS) – The Grand Canyon commit played excellent defense all night long. She had the task of defending LC’s best player and made it difficult for her to get too many clean looks from anywhere on the floor. She made some tough shots in the first half that gave Eastlake a nice scoring punch early in the game.

2019 5’11 SG Dominique Arquette (Lewis and Clark HS) – The senior shooter gave Lewis and Clark a good boost early in the game with her scoring ability. She finished with 19 points in the loss.

2020 6’3 P Keeli Burton (Eastlake HS) – The Arizona State commit really turned things up in the second half on the offensive end. She scored on putbacks, post ups and inbound plays. She led the game in scoring at 22 points and collected 12 boards.

2021 6’1 SG Haley Huard (Eastlake HS) – The sophomore did a very nice job in the title game, remaining composed and making some timely baskets. She used her length to disrupt Eastlake’s outside shooters and that made all the difference in the game.

Final score: Eastlake 53, Lewis and Clark 47
