Coach Laura Bachman has been with the Eastlake program since 5th grade, when she joined the select basketball team. She went on to be the starting shooting guard for Eastlake High School in 2009. That year, the team went on to compete at the State Championships. She also played for the Eastlake fastpitch team, which won the State Championship in 2008, and was team captain in 2009. After high school, Laura went on to Ohio University, where she graduated with honors in Sport Management and Business Administration. While there, she continued her leadership as the president of multiple organizations, Sport Management Student Ambassador, Peer Mentor, Philanthropy Chair of her sorority, as well as working for the NCAA Compliance Office. Additionally, she was the recipient of several honors such as, "Female Leader On and Off the Court Award", "College of Business "Sport Management Award", and the "Department of Sport Administration Service Award." After college, Laura completed a sports marketing fellowship in College Station, Texas, where she managed social media and marketing campaigns for professional athletes and a NFL team. Upon returning home, Laura began working for and coaching at a local AAU program, Eastside Basketball Club, before beginning her coaching career at Eastlake High School. This will be Coach Laura’s third year coaching the Lady Wolves basketball and fastpitch teams. Laura is excited for this season. She hopes to share her basketball experience and the importance of leadership in sports with the players and looks forward to helping them achieve their goals both on and off the court. Go Wolves!
